Introduction
One step strip style Gonorrhea test is a rapid direct binding test for the visual detection of
Gonorrhea antigen in the secretary products and urine from urinary system as an aid in
the diagnosis of Gonorrhea infection . It is based on the principle of double sandwich
immunoassay for determination of Gonorrhea antigen in the secretory products were
employed to specifically identify Gonorrhea with high sensitivity . The sensitivity and
specificity of the test is higher than present method available that involves culturing of the
collected specimen . Moreover , the test result is not affected by medication that the
patient is going under . Test results are read visually without any instruments .
Special features
1) test result is unambigous and can be read in 10-20 minutes after completion of the test .
2) test kit is easy to operate and does not involve washing or comparison to standards .
3) the high specificity and sensitivity is confirmed after each test kit is tested with other
possible cross-reaction substances . Materials supplied test strip(1pc.); sterilized
swab(1pc.); specimen diluent(1pc.); clean tube(1pc.)
Specimen collection
1 add 1ml of specimen diluent to a clean tube . Then use a swab to collect specimen in
the following suggested method :
a) For male patients : swab discharges from the opening of the urinary track . If no
discharges are present ,insert swab 2-3cm into urinary track , gently move a few turns
and retrieve swab .
b) For female patients : swab discharges from the vaginal track opening ,then insert
swab into vaginal track for half a minute and retrieve swab .
2 place swab into specimen diluent and mix well so that discharges are well suspended
in the diluent . Discard swab into disinfectant container . Collected specimen in diluent
should be stored at 4-8��and tested within 24 hours .
Test procedure
1 . Review specimen collection instructions, test device, patients samples and
controls should be brought to room temperature(18-30�� prior to testing.
2 Inserted the end with arrow or colored sign of the strip into the Serum
sample ,Wait 5 seconds. do not immerse the strip into the sample over the
signed band.
3 Take the strip out and lay the strip flat on a clean, dry and nonabsorbent
surface.
4 Wait for 5-10 minutes and read results. And do not read results after 20 minutes.
Interpretation of result
Negative: Only one pink colored band appears on the control region. No apparent band
